Payless: Now Open in Megamall

Payless Shoe Source is a discount footwear retailer in the US which is now exlusively distributed in the Philippines by Footwear Specialty Retailer's Inc. First local store to open is the one at Filinvest. Last August 26, Megamall, Shangri-la and Ali-Mall branches were opened (not sure with the last 2 though).

Store opening details:

28 Jul - Filinvest (thought the 1st one was in ATC lol)
26 Aug - Megamall, Ali Mall and Shangri-la Plaza (please confirm if the last 2 are already open)
09 Sep - Greenhills
21 Oct - Market Market, Glorietta and Rockwell
15 Nov - Marquee Mall and Robinson's Galleria

I was on leave last 26 and 27 so I wasn't able to check them out during the opening, Visited them this afternoon though (lunchbreak).

I like their style of segregating the footwears by size instead of displaying them by design and then you have to constantly badger the sales attendant(s) to check if they have them in your size, and then you have no choice but to wait only to be told that they don't have it anymore.

In Payless, shoes/sandals are arranged by gender then by size. I just have to go to the aisle with sizes 9 to 10 (yes, I'm a giant LOL!) and voila, fitting galore! Didn't check the store that much though. Just noted that they have a kids' section, and that they have till size 12 for women although around a dozen stlyes only (and some are not that wearable, hello 5-inch heels!).

I saw the Montego Bay sandals that I've been eyeing in their website. Glad I didn't get it online since I don't like the fit on me when I tried it on.

Was about to buy this:

But then, I saw this.

I want to get both, but my wallet says NO.

Ended up with the slip-ons. Went to the cashier to pay. Damage. Php 1,250. Not bad. Price online is $22.99.

That's the regular price. Unfortunately for me. It was on sale at $9.00. TOINKS! Oh well!

 And thought I was done.

Then, I saw this from the accessories rack:

I've yet to watch Sex and the City 2 but I saw some pictures of Carrie before wearing a clover necklace:

It's a Chahan Minassian piece worth $20,000! Yikes!

Chahan (a jewelry designer) is a friend of Patricia Field, a renowned celebrity stylist and costume designer of Sex and the City 2 (and The Devil Wears Prada). According to Patricia, the necklace was loaned to her by Chahan (for the movie).

She then created her own lucky charm clover necklace:

These retails from $56 to $72.

Still expensive for me.

Luckily, Patricia Field collaborated with Payless and designed another clover necklace which retails for $12.99!

Check how much I paid for it at the local store!

Around $9 only!

Here it is on me (I'm not wearing any makeup, beware! LOL):

What I don't like with Payless, hmmm.

The plastic bag!

Sorry girls for the long post, I just missed talking to you!

BTW, random updates! MAC's Fabulous Feline collection is already out in the US and might be available in our local counter next month, will post update once it's here. NARS' Fall collection is already out though, I got Douceur and oh, I highly recommend NARS' eyeshadow base! It's goooood! Way better than Urban Decay's Primer Potion (at least for me!).

NOTD: Zoya Veruschka

Just to let you know, I'm still alive.

Wearing a matte polish by Zoya, meet Veruschka!

Please don't ask me how to pronounce it though haha.

Got busy and then when I'm done being busy, my laptop conked out, I'm using my sister's laptop as I type this. Will be back soon!!
